Job Roles and Responsibilities
The role of a Business Development Executive is to drive sales and growth efforts by contributing to new customer acquisition. He/she should be able to provide ideas to attract new clients and keep management updated about marketplace and competitor activity. Your primary role and responsibilities as a Business Development Executive include:
- research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
- Have and build appropriate contacts with potential clients to create new business opportunities
- Keep prospective client database updated, setting up meeting (cold call, virtual and face to face)
- Plan, prepare and present business proposals, presentation ppt. webinars and product demo
- Maintain knowledge of all product and service offerings of the company
- Overseeing the development of marketing literature and organization digital presence including LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube
- Create sales campaign and plan sales pipeline
- Follow company guidelines and procedures for acquisition of customers, submission of tenders etc.
Competencies and Skills Required
- A good knowledge of Data Protection Regulatory Compliance, Cyber Security and Information Security Management System. A Professional certification in any of these will be an added advantage
- Must be very confident and possess strong customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Excellent use of social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook and YouTube)
- Must have good negotiation skills
- Must be able to create and deliver good presentations and webinars
- Must have excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be detail-oriented and an active listener
- Ability to work under pressure
