Chemonics International – Administrative/Operations Assistants & Drivers – Abuja and Sokoto
Chemonics International is hiring for multiple support positions in both Abuja and Sokoto, including Administrative/Operations Assistants and Drivers. Candidates selected for these positions will have the opportunity to support the operations of exciting USAID funded HIV service delivery activities through Task Order 01 of the Nigeria Strategic HIV and AIDS Response Program. Further detail on the duties and requirements for each of the two position types is below:
Description: Administrative/Operations Assistants will support the operations of this fast-paced program, to include supporting finance, procurement, travel, logistics, and human-resources tasks, under the supervision of the Director of Finance and Operations and other project leadership.
Requirements: Candidates should possess a minimum of one-year of operations, administration, procurement, finance, or related experience on international development projects, with experience working on USAID-funded activities being preferable. Candidates should have good written and spoken communication skills in English. In addition, candidates will need to possess a high level of integrity and the ability to quickly learn and comply with Chemonics and USAID policies and procedures.
Driver: Description: Drivers will support project staff and leadership by providing transportation within the city to and from meetings, to remote locations for monitoring visits, to deliver or pick-up documents and supplies on behalf of the project, and on other official business as assigned by project leadership. Drivers will be required to maintain a detailed written log of all travels. When transportation is not needed, drivers may be asked by project leadership to provide basic administrative support.
Requirements: Experience as a driver for an international organization for a minimum of one year. Licensed driver with clean driving safety record. High-level of integrity, with ability to accomplish tasks independently and on-time. Spoken English required.
