A boutique consulting firm is recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Officer

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

The Finance Officer will be assigned the following primary responsibilities, among others:

  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Process invoices
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Assist in Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Remittance and Filing of VAT and WHT

Requirements 

  • A Bachelor’s degree or OND in Finance, Accounting or Economics with a 2:1 or first class from a top-tier university
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
  • Experience using Accounting softwares (Quickbooks preferably)
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Knowledge of financial regulations
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Sharp time management skills
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
  • Professional qualification as a CFA/CPA is considered a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Discretion and confidentiality
