During full-time job search
You might be a student who just graduated from the University and waiting to get your first job or you might simply have taken a break for various reasons which might be for studying, family, medical etc but now need to get back to working and while submitting job applications you need to get busy with some form of work while you wait for the break through. In this post we shall be sharing with you some ideas that may be of help to you.
1- Start a small business
While searching for a full-time job if you have access to some start up capital, you can go into some small business such as buying and selling and who knows you might find great luck in the business, with online stores such as Jumia, Konga, Jiji etc you might not even need a physical shop for a start, you can even do online advertising through Google ads and advertise on various social media networks. Just find something you know people need, then buy them in whole sale price and resell them in retail and you can make a decent income through that.
2- Become a freelancer
Being a freelancer can also be rewarding, if you some skills such as writing, voice over, design, coding, music, etc, you can start a freelancing service. There are many websites that allow freelancers to register and they are paid per job task (otherwise called gigs on some platforms). Starting with that may become very profitable especially if you have in-demand skills. You can check out sites like Fiverr, Upwork, and freelancer just to mention a few.
3- Become an independent researcher
You can try to go into performing research work such as doing mystery shopping, surveys and interview for research companies. This can also be rewarding. Companies like AC Nielsen usually recruits independent researchers for their projects, make some research online, and on sites like Upwork, they offer research jobs as well.
