Direct Report: Head of Supply Chain

Location: Agbara, Ogun State

Main Responsibility Areas:

The Supply Planning Chief role is ideal for someone who can think creatively to manage the key supply chain trade off in supply, demand, working capital and cost. This position will work closely with the demand planning team, customer supply chain team and factory/JDM team and develop supply planning strategies

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Work with demand planning team to understand short term and long term demand plan
  • Develop long term capacity planning strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work with inventory planning team to develop buffer strategies at finished goods and component level
  • Develop simulation/modeling to optimize planning strategies
  • Play an active role in supply chain transformation initiatives
  • Ensure optimal stocking levels in all distribution centers
  • Develop supply allocation strategies
  • Develop new strategies to reduce cycle time, optimize inventory, reduce product cost
  • Work with NPI tem to ensure successful launch and ramp of new products
  • Support S&OP processes
  • Own and improve supply planning processes
  • Work with demand planning team to understand short term and long term demand plan
  • Develop long term capacity planning strategies in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Work with inventory planning team to develop buffer strategies at finished goods and component level.
  • Develop simulation/modeling to optimize planning strategies
  • Play an active role in supply chain transformation initiativesEnsure optimal stocking levels in all distribution centers
  • Develop supply allocation strategies
  • Develop new strategies to reduce cycle time, optimize inventory, reduce product cost
  • Updates interested parties as to how production is progressing

Experience: 

5 to 7 years experience in FMCG

Supervision, Coaching, Managing Processes, Process Improvement, Tracking Budget Expenses, Production Planning, Controls and Instrumentation, Strategic Planning, Dealing with Complexity, Financial Planning and Strategy.

Education: 

A good University degree in Engineering ( BSc or HND)

Critical Competencies:

  • Shows initiative, is proactive and be willing team player
  • IT skills especially of Microsoft MS Office Programs / Average in Excel
  • Can work well under pressure in a multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to use key supply chain systems and tools (SAP)
  • Analytical Thinking, Operational Excellence, Result Oriented, Planning & Organizational Ability
